Outlook 2010 configuration Print

To set up your POP / IMAP accounts (email addresses) with outlook 2010, please follow the instructions below:

 

  1. Open the Outlook 2010 software, then Click on the "File" menu, choose the "Information" tab on the left, then click "Add an account"

 

  1. Check the box at the bottom left: "Manually configure server settings or additional server types".

 

  1. Click on "Next"

 

  1. Choose: "Internet Mail" and "Next"

 

  1. Enter the following information:

 

Your first and last name.

Email address: enter the email address you want to configure example: test@yourdomainname.com

Account type: Choose POP3 or IMAP

Incoming mail server: mail.yourdomain.com

Outgoing mail server: mail.yourdomain.com

Username: Enter the email address you want to configure, example: test@yourdomainname.com

Your password: Use the password corresponding to the email address in question.

 

  1. Click on the "Additional parameters" button then on the "Outgoing server" tab.

 

  1. In the "Outgoing server" tab, check the box "My outgoing server requires authentication" then "Use the same settings as my incoming mail server:"

 

  1. In the "Advanced options" tab, click on "use the following type of encrypted connection" then choose "Automatic". The outgoing port on "Outgoing mail server SMTP" must imperatively indicate 587.

 

  1. Click OK, then click "Test Account Settings", wait for the Status to display Completed.

 

  1. Click on Next and finally on Finish

 

Congratulations you have succeeded. Your account is now configured!
